Brother Wege is a missionary pastor planting a church in the rapidly developing region south of Lusaka, Zambia. His latest report brings us up-to-date on a couple of situations mentioned in his previous report:
“Calvary greetings in the blessed name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We trust that our good Lord is caring for you and your families as you hold the nets with us and together we launch into the deep for a catch, at the Lord’s bidding.
Surprising Response From Our Evangelistic Bible Study
God always has a better way. At times, He rebukes, challenges, and even shames us in the way He handles His work. As I reported earlier, we had begun a Bible Study at Jambo Farm in December of last year, which is doing very fine at the moment. We currently have an average attendance of 15 people and a minimum of two visitors at each meeting.
My approach to this Bible Study group is purely evangelistic. As earlier indicated in our reports, most of the people that we are reaching out to claim to be affiliated with some church. Due to those affiliation claims, most of them think they are Christians. Anyone going to them to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ must identify himself with the churches to which they belong. If not, you are looked at as someone who just wants to woo them to your church, and in many cases they will not even allow you to share the gospel with them.
But in our case, they allowed us to keep going there and sharing the gospel with them. We looked at this opportunity as a great privilege and made sure that we did not mess things up by asking them to come to our church. We resolved that we will just be going there to make Christ known through these evangelistic Bible Studies.
However, on Sunday 21st February, the Lord shamed us through the overwhelming response of people who came to our church worship service from that very Bible Study group (Jambo farm). There were about four couples and four others who came without their spouses. It was indeed a great challenge to us in the way we had limited God. Some have continued coming regularly, while others are irregular at church but very faithful at the Bible study.

As for the young lady, amake Isaac (mother of Isaac), whom I mentioned in our last report, I have continued visiting her and sharing the word of God with her. We thank God that she has been to our church three times. Through her we have also started speaking to her neighbor, who is promising to visit our church one Sunday.

- Keep praying for the conversions for our church attendees.
- Keep on praying for our search for a church plot.
- Pray for this Bible study group at Jambo Farm for their salvation.
- Pray for amake Isaac, for her salvation and for her husband, who is sometimes wanting to divorce her.”
