Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we seek to grow in Him, the Lord has shown His grace and mercy to my family and I. The Lord has given us the opportunity to labor in His mission field. What a joy it is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and serve His people. Let me share how the Lord has used me for the Gospel work in His mission field of Nepal.

The last couple of months, the Lord has given me the privilege of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with several individuals, along with some families during our house visits. God gave me the privilege to meet Mrs. Anita, who runs her small business. I went to her to buy clothes. By God grace, I was given the opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. I spoke about God’s holiness, man’s sin, God’s justice, and His love in Jesus Christ (displayed in His life, death & resurrection). I also spoke of the biblical call of repentance and faith. After this visit, Mrs Anita came to the church a couple of times, but she is not being regular. May the Lord open her heart and mind to come to the saving faith of Christ. May God give her the gift of repentance and faith.

On Thursday Sep 14 God gave us an opportunity to visit brother Gautam and brother Hari in Kapilvastu (40 Km west from Butwal). The Lord gave us a good time with their family. I was able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ (Rom 5:6-8; John 3:16; 2 Cor 5:1) among the Tharu tribes. There are only a few who know the Lord among them. In the Nepali society, they are considered backward and poor. They are looked down upon by many of the higher class people. Though the society looks down on them, God has made them rich in Christ. It is a great reminder that the Gospel is for everyone, every tribe and every nation, Jews and Gentiles, rich and poor, slave and master, and male and female (Gal 3:28). Oh! What a joy we have to share the riches of His glory. Please continue to pray for these people that more may come to the saving faith of Jesus Christ.

On Sept. 27 & 28 we had a conference on the Gospel. Elder Neel preached on the attributes of God (Holiness, Righteousness, Justice) and I was able to preach on Christ and the proper response of man. It was a wonderful time that the Lord used for His glory. I trust the Lord has used it to edify His church here in Nepal. Praise the Lord for this opportunity and the blessed conference.

Dear friends, we are praying and looking forward to having a conference on Reformation day. This will be a three-day program (29-31 Oct.). I will be speaking on the History of Reformation, with a focus on Sola Scriptura. Brother Rodney P. will be summarizing the other four Solas of the reformation. Please pray for us – that the Lord will help us to speak simply, clearly, and boldly. May Christ be honored as we preach His truth.

On Nov. 4 to 9 we will be going to the Northern section, nearby the Himalayas, for Gospel evangelism. We will take two of our interns with us. This is a dark place where the majority are Buddhist and Animist. These people are an unreached people group. May we bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to these people. We are going to give sound gospel literature and NT bibles. Please join with us in this mission field with prayers and supports. Thank You!

In Him,

Silas
