An Update from George Serban

Thank God for His help that we had this month.

As workers sometimes feel lonely and discouraged, God is with us in every moment of our lives as He promised that He will never leave us. When we realize this, we receive the strength to get over any obstacles we encounter. Our eyes must be directed toward Christ and whatever we do must do it for His glory.  When our gaze is directed at us, we lose sight of the purpose for which we exist.  We live to bring glory to God and we must have this in mind in everything we do.

This month we had two conferences that have served our mission team. The first conference was meant to help us know how to plant a church and the second conference focused on the teamwork.

This equiping was necessary for all members of our mission team because we want to do God’s work with efficiency and ensure that every missionary mission of our team is in the right place.

Then, because it was Women’s Day, we organized an event with my wife and the women of the village.  We invited a lady speaker from Alba Iulia. It was a great joy for all the women who participated as they were able to hear encouraging words for them. They understood that their work is not easy. God is the one who wants them to be free and to know Him as Savior.

I continued this month the ”Gospel in Every Home” project, which is to visit every house in Stoenesti, and to proclaim the Gospel. Thank God that all this year we will perform this project in the neighboring village.  The people will have the opportunity to hear God’s Word.

This month, in one of the meetings on Sunday morning, a man came to church for the first time. After the sermon I spoke to him and he expressed his desire to follow Jesus. During the week I visited him at his home to talk again.  He told me that he spoke to his children and had given his life to Jesus.  He said that he wanted to follow Him. Pray for this man that he will understand God’s Word better and better that it will bring forth fruit in his life.

Also, pray for two of the young people who attend our Saturday meeting who have expressed a desire to be baptized this year.
