Dear HeartCry,

Thank God during the last month that every member in my family was healthy. Also, we thank God that N. X. Church and each family in the Church are aware of how vital maintaining prayer life daily in family is for the Church. God is teaching us, when faced with the problems, to be more loving, caring, and to pray for one another.

During last month my family has been more serious in organizing family worship. I know myself and my family is called by God and is separated for God’s work and that we should encourage each other in the evening by reading the Bible, thanking God for His blessings during the day, and praying for the Church. When we rely on God and obey God, we see the presence of the Lord and peace in the heart.

Sometimes, in the Church, there are strains in relationships, but the Word of God in I Cor. 13:1 teaches:

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal,”

I Cor. 13:1

reminding and shaping us each day to have a more exemplary life and love each other.

Life in Vietnam is becoming increasingly difficult; parents lose influence over their children while adolescents are increasingly severely affected by misbehavior. For this reason, the responsibility is on our shoulders to try to and demonstrate the capacity to lead the Bible in my own home. I know that a pastor must be the one who knows how to raise children in God’s ways. If I do not succeed in administering Christ in my own home and children in the faith, I will lack the dignity to administer in the Church and will not glorify the Lord. I will not be worthy of being called to serve him.

“He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive”

1 Timothy 3:4

Thank God for the concern and support of HeartCry; my family life is getting less hard than before and my wife and I spend more time in God’s work. May God give us good health to serve Him.

Sincerely, Chi L.
