Greetings to you all I wanted to send a brief update about the work of God here in South India.

My Family

Thank you for praying for us. Please pray for my wife Glory as she has been suffering with a headache for a long time. She is under medication, but sometimes she has a very hard time and is not able to take care of the home and children. I need her so much to stand with me in the Lord’s work. Please uphold her in your prayers.

My son Ebenezar Charis just turned 14 last month. Pray with us for him that he will know Christ and be saved. This is very high time for him. Me and my son along with my daughter Jemima Charity are reading through the gospels. Now we are reading John’s gospel. May God grant us His grace so that we may guide them to God as godly parents.

Church Planting Work

We continue to meet in our Church building on Sundays. Around 80 people regularly gather for worship and fellowship, and once in a month we take part in the Lord’s Table. Most of them are new converts and some of them are from traditional Christian backgrounds. We feel that the Lord is continuing to use these men and women for the purpose of making disciples. I have been seeking the Lord that He would raise up leaders out of these group and that they would grow to maturity. Recently the church has finished studying through 1 Thessalonians, and now we are going through the book of Hebrews. We are also studying a book by Brother Paul Washer: “The Gospel Call and True Conversion.”

Sunday School for Children

We have around 15-20 children gathering every Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:45. We have 2 sisters helping to lead the children’s ministry. By 11 AM they will join with us in the main Church service and during the service they will stand and recite their Bible memory verses. In the month of January we have conducted a Bible Exam and presented gifts to the children for their encouragement. Our prayer and burden through this little effort is that these little children will be led to Christ the savior for their salvation and repentance.

Training Pastors

Along with the church planting work we are also engaged in training men and women who are already in the ministry but have no formal training. Every 2 months, around 13 pastors gather for study and fellowship. Right now we are studying “The Gospel Call and True Conversion.” This study is helping us to understand about true conversion. These are such neglected teachings in our times, in our country, and in our churches. We need them so badly.

Pray for the Young Men

In my last report I shared about 3 young men who were recently baptized: they are Rajan, Ramesh, and Chandra Rao. I feel they are growing in the Lord. They are continuing to come to our church fellowship.

Thank you for your valuable prayers and for being a blessing to us in so many ways.

Your brother and Sister in Christ,
Sunder and Glory
