Dear HeartCry, First of all I would like to send greetings to the Board of Directors of HeartCry. In the fullness of grace of the Triune God we believe that now you are still healthy and at peace! Thank God for the opportunity to collaborate with you for God’s work in Vietnam. Let the blessings of God on your family and your church.
Please pray for Vietnam because to be honest when walking with the Lord we face many of difficulties and challenges, and sometimes it makes you want to quit. However, God has prepared for us Pastor Solomon, who is our teacher and mentor. He provides tutoring, teaching, and encouragement for us and gives advice to our ministry for the development of the church. Where there is a concern the Lord uses his influence on our spiritual life to give us spiritual stability.
In the ministry work of pastor, I have learned that preparation for preaching the Bible is very important before God. In Vietnam, many churches are influenced by false doctrines that only promise blessings, miracles, and the ability to speak in tongues. It is important that we are taught the Bible in order that the church can return to the true to the gospel of Jesus. Therefore it requires us every day to spend more time in prayer, study, writing, teaching, and preaching.
In April, many members of the church recognized the gospel truth and repented and the Lord’s work is progressing step by step. Besides the results, there are also disadvantages as some members do not accept God’s word and have left the church. For example, a woman who is a primary school teacher came to our church previously few weeks but she decided to go to a church that was larger, more fun, and attractive to her. Therefore, she left us during the past year. Although we counseled her about the importance of the membership of the church, she did not listen. Thank God, however, in early April, she returned and said that their words have no benefit for her. Thank God she realized it was time for spiritual truth, and spiritual values, and she appears to have transforming faith. Actually, we do not do anything but God acted on her life and this has brought a lot of encouragement for us.
Please have more prayers for us and for the situation of the church in Vietnam. Finally, in the grace of God, we are sincerely grateful to you for your interest.
