We are most grateful for your partnership in the gospel, through your prayers for us as a church. Here is an update on what the Lord has been doing among us, in the last few weeks, and what lies ahead, for which we would value your prayers.

Sunday morning services see us working through the first of John’s epistles. In days when there is so much pressure on God’s people to compromise and change, this book is invaluable. Pastor Tobias has just finished taking the church through the prophecy of Jonah while I have recently commenced a series on Revelation, on Sunday evenings. Our Wednesday evening prayer meetings have been based on studies in Paul’s second letter to Timothy.

Please pray for the ongoing ministry of the Word, on Sundays and Wednesdays, and for help and strength to be granted to us who faithfully teach and preach.
I continued to train a group of men to study, interpret, and proclaim the Word of God. Please keep on praying for these brothers so that suitable men will be raised up to take offices in the church for the glory of God and the benefit of His people.

Praise God that He is growing His church here in Frankfurt. One recent Sunday we witnessed three people confessing, through baptism, their faith in Christ Jesus: along with them, four others were added to the membership of the church. There are still others who applied for baptism and membership and we hope to add more people in the coming months. May I ask you to pray for us as a church that we might grow in a healthy manner and direction?

We are thankful to have had Dr. James White come and deliver a lecture on “The bondage of the will”, recently. Approximately 120 people were present to hear his engaging and accurate presentation on this very relevant subject.

At the beginning of October, I was invited to speak at the first Street-Preacher Conference in Munich, Germany. Street preachers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland came together to encourage one another, to learn more about biblical evangelism and to serve together in reaching the lost. It was a great joy to see men eager to proclaim the biblical gospel. May I ask you to pray for these brothers that they may be useful tools in the hand of a mighty God?

Members of the church continue to evangelize on the streets of Frankfurt, with tracts being handed out and conversations had. Please pray that God will accompany the distribution of His Word with saving power.

Please pray for grace and strength for a family in the church who are currently providing foster care for two children with significant needs.

We married a young couple within our church and there is one more wedding coming up in October. Please pray God’s blessing on our couples as they seek to honor Him in their lives together and please pray for all those who have heard or will hear the Gospel proclaimed at the weddings.

The church is still without its own building. This is a particular problem on Sunday mornings, where recent numbers have been too large to practically fit into the current venue. Please pray that the Lord will lead us to a suitable location.

We again thank you for your prayerful interest in the Lord’s work, here in Frankfurt and covet your ongoing prayers.
May the Lord bless you and strengthen you to serve him with a whole heart to His glory.

Respectfully yours in His service, Peter Schild
