Pastor Nicu Vulpe shares an encouraging report concerning his gospel labors in Petrousa:

We are so glad to see the way in which God has been working in our family. We trust His grace. God is good!

We had many wonderful opportunities to preach the Gospel this month! The Lord has helped us meet with some of the people that attended our Christmas program. We believe the Lord will continue what He has started in their hearts.

I am thankful to the Lord for what He is doing in the Oprea family. The wife is being influenced by her husband’s testimony; the man that has been baptized recently. Her interest for spiritual things is visible. We’ve also maintained a close relationship with the Basangeacs. They came to church through their son, who is attending our kindergarten. They are friendly with us and we have tried to use our relationship in order to make the Lord known to them. We can say, like the apostle Paul, that the Lord has given these people to us for a while in order to teach them the truth of His Word.

But we rejoiced mostly with the Naes. Brother Nae, a simple man, received the Lord in hospital and then asked to be baptized. He was very sick, so we baptized him at home and the next day he died. The Lord has strengthened many souls through this history of grace! Brother Nae’s family members are being searched by the Lord now.

Mrs. Maria is a pensioner. She used to be a nurse. I visited her along with another believer and she repented of her sins. I pray that she would leave everything behind and follow the Lord. We have a good relationship so far. Praise the Lord! We enjoy seeing God’s people growing, but I have a burden for those that I have visited and who haven’t made a decision regarding their salvation.

One man made me very sad this month. I’ve shared the Gospel with him recently. He is a student, a mechanic and a professional driver. His parents are working abroad and they decided to build a house for him, which is really huge. When I talked to him, he was respectful and showed some interest, but everything seemed to be shadowed by his plans for the future. I told him that salvation is important and urgent. Three weeks ago he fell from his house and injured his head very badly. He was in a coma for more than a week. Our church prayed that the Lord would give him one more chance and the Lord has answered our prayer. He has started communicating (not very well yet). I will visit him again when possible and tell him again about the only chance that he has in Christ. The Lord has shown us once again that man is but a breath, no matter how strong he might look.

The Lord has given me a new impulse in preaching the Gospel. I pray that many people would have the privilege to enter His Kingdom!
