Florin Stan relates an anbswer to prayer that calls for great rejoicing as he reports this month that his daughter has come to Christ.  Further news he shares in his update:

We had an evangelistic event for children in December, when we offered them Christmas presents. Then we invited the children to attend our children’s meetings every Saturday. About 15 children have been attending these meetings on a regular basis so far. We teach them the Word of God, Christian songs and Bible verses. We also invite them to church every Sunday night, when they also have a short program for the church. Their program is refreshing for the church.

The teenagers’ ministry

We have the teenagers’ meetings every Saturday afternoon. I’ve experienced a great joy in this ministry, as my daughter, Damaris, and her schoolmate, Andreea, seem to have been born again. There is a deep change in their lives on all levels. My daughter asked me how she could know if she had been saved. I told her that when she is saved, she will have a great love for God, she will be eager to tell others about Him and she will hate sin. Andreea is also asking me many questions from the Bible. She read the entire New Testament in a month. She is attending the church and this gives her a great joy. One night, at the prayer time, as the believers were sharing different prayer requests, she stood up and told us about the change that had taken place in her life. She also told her she was facing adversity from her grandmother, who had told her to quit attending our church. We prayed for her. The teenagers are also contributing to the Sunday night program and their ministry brings so much joy to the church. The Sunday night services have become very dynamic and enthusiastic since I have started involving the children and the teenagers in the program.

Evangelism through sports

I invited several acquaintances to church, where we can play Ping-Pong and talk as well. I want to meet on a regular basis with them for a while and to preach the Gospel to them once again. I have already had several such meetings and the most special one was the meeting with Gabi. He is 35 years old, married and he has 2 children. After several games, we had tea and talked a little bit. I told him how important it was for him to give his life to the Lord and I also gave him some reasons for that. Then I asked him if he had any questions. He told me he had been restless lately and he couldn’t find a meaning in anything. I told him that material things could never give us fulfilment. God is the only One who can do that. I urged him to believe in the Lord Jesus and to accept Him in his life. I will meet again with him and I hope he will still be open.

Occasional evangelism

While going through town and trying to solve different things, I had many opportunities to talk to people. Fieni is a small town and people know each other. The Lord has given me the wisdom to take a regular discussion to a spiritual level. So, the other person starts talking about spiritual things almost without realizing it. I’ve done this with several people and I will visit them again in order to continue our discussions.
