Two weeks ago, pastors from many different villages and towns throughout the jungles of Peru met in the town of Chazuta, near Tarapoto, for a week of training. Through the generous giving of those who support the ministry of HeartCry, we were able to provide all 40 pastors with a Strong’s Concordance, which for many is the only literature they have other than a study Bible. Last year, HeartCry helped provide these men with study Bibles, and we hope to continue with this literature project until these men who are faithfully serving as ministers of the Word of God are equipped with a basic pastor’s library. The following is an email sent to HeartCry from Micah T., an American missionary who is devoted to training up men for the ministry in Peru’s jungles:

“I wanted to write you all and tell you that we had a great time with brother Eddy Solano (HeartCry administrator in Peru) here in the city of Tarapoto and in the village of Chazuta. The Strong’s Concordances were a great blessing for all 40 students. All of them were very grateful and want to take full advantage of this resource. Some had traveled four days to get to Chazuta in order to receive the week of training which David Sills led. The number of concordances was perfect for the number of students present, and during the course of the week, Jairo was teaching the men how to use this valuable tool. We give thanks to God for using HeartCry in the equipping of pastors here in the Peruvian jungle.”

Please pray that the Lord would continue to use the training of these men to bear fruit in Peru, and that the concordances would enable these men to more clearly expound the Word of God.
