Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we are very privileged to be able to write this report and share about the trials and battles that the Lord allows us to endure in order to further conform us to His glory. Knowing that it is God who works in us and through us, we are encouraged to look, as with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, that we might be transformed into the same image from glory to glory.

I want to begin by asking your prayers for my family. My wife and children have been very sick, but by the grace of God, we have been able to endure these difficult moments and have been diligent to seek Him in reliance through prayer, trusting that our Heavenly Father is faithful. Also, I would like to share with you about one of the brothers from the church, Alejandro. When he came to Lima, he was separated from his wife, and she remained in the mountains. As I began meeting with him and teaching Him what the Bible says about marriage and the responsibility of the husband, I exhorted him to return to resolve the issues and to care for his wife. At first, he refused, but as I continued to exhort him and teach him the Scriptures he came to see the severity of his sin, and knew that he needed to return. It seems the Lord has done a work both in Alejandro’s heart as well as in his wife’s heart, and they are now united again and seem to be happy as a family. Soon, he will be returning to Lima with his wife and children.

Alejandro’s relatives live in Lima, and because of the testimony of God’s work in Alejandro’s marriage, they desire to hear the Word of God. I have begun going to speak with them on a regular basis. Please pray for their salvation.

The Lord has opened up many opportunities to preach the Gospel in the streets in different locations. A verse of the Bible that has spoken strongly to me with regard to my responsibility to share the Gospel with those around me is Proverbs 14:21, which says, “He who despises his neighbor sins, but happy is he who is gracious to the poor.” Regardless of each individual’s situation, we know that everyone without Christ is spiritually bankrupt. Please pray for my family, that we might be a faithful example of Christ-likeness to those around us.
