After all the activities that we have in the springtime and summertime (evangelistic events, summer camps for children, baptisms), in August half of the church members go on vacation and there are very few people left in the church. As a pastor, I needed to stay and to do by myself what we usually do as a team.

I took this opportunity to do more pastoral visits, focusing on the old, the weak and the poor, having fellowship with them, I become more grateful and ready to fight the Christian battle. In September we usually have a general meeting when we plan the ministry for the following year. I need these visits more than the persons I visit because I am looking for new ideas and counsel. We pray for these new ideas and then we propose them to the church.

Our best and most talented Sunday school teacher moved to another place, so I had to reorganize the team with new people, who don’t have the experience in this respect. I taught and equipped them and now the church needs to strengthen them. I also equipped three young preachers and they preached the Word in church this month, because the more experienced preachers were on vacation. Please pray for our new Sunday school teachers and preachers.
