News Letter (Salim Hartono) Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
We are currently in the area of Tera in order to record the New Testament of the Tera. language. The Tera, Cambria, and Dong tribes are the indigenous tribes that inhabit the Feri regency in the Gehar Hulo Province. The biggest church is a Christian Church Gehar Hulo. We have found an upsetting reality and dangerous reality as well that Gehar Hulo Church holds the doctrine that salvation is not just to believe in Jesus Christ, but it must be added with good deeds.
Praise God! We found the one and only church that teaches the true Gospel truth namely Afarai Church that we can attend to fellowship together in Ludoko. The church that is led by pastor S., who have had several visions to evangelize, train, and make disciples and then multiply. Pastor S. and his congregation have been actively evangelizing on campus, keenly evangelizing in prison, and studying the Word of God together through Bible study groups. We are truly blessed by this privilege to be able to worship with them and listen to their living testimony.
Let us pray that the Lord will continue to come visit the Gehar Hulo Church, so that they may behold the wonderful truth of God’s Word in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Pray fervently also for pastor S. and his congregation that in the midst of the difficult challenges they have encountered they will continue to grow firm and strong and bearing so much fruits for God’s Kingdom.
