Evangelistic Project for People with Disabilities
I spoke with a boy and girl who live together, without being legally married. The girl is paralyzed. She thought she was a good person, but her boyfriend admitted that he was a sinner. They didn’t know they were going to hell or how they could be saved. They accepted the New Testament that I offered them.
Two people listened to me carefully as I shared with them how they could be saved. Others that listened are attending the Adventist Church. I explained to them that they cannot be saved by keeping the law, because this way Christ’s sacrifice would be in vain. Others began to listen in as I carefully told them how they could be saved. One guy believed that he could have his sins forgiven by his confession to the priest. A man who was 60 had read the Bible, but he said he didn’t understand anything. Then I met a family. Their son believed that God would decide at the Great Judgment where He would send each of us, in heaven or hell. So, I read to them the parable of Lazarus. I shared the Gospel with them and they were searched by the Word of God.
Two men are Hungarian Rroma people. They didn’t know they were going to hell and were very open to hear how they could be saved. They were also eager to be visited by us.
Another two are from Focsani. One had had a stroke in Slovenia and was in coma for three months. A girl believed she was a good woman, but she understood she needed to repent. It was for the first time when they understood they were going to hell. They listened carefully to me as I was sharing the Good News. She had the first stroke when she was 42 and then at 54 the second stroke. They are about 65 years old now. The woman is an economist and her husband is an engineer. They believed that God had a good opinion about them. They used to go to the monasteries and confess their sins to the priest. I explained to them that they couldn’t be saved through good deeds and told them what Christ had done for us. As I was talking to them, I could see a great joy on the woman’s face.
Another man and woman I met are husband and wife. The wife is paralyzed. The man said he hadn’t sinned too much, but admitted that he used to like women and cheated on his wife. He had also killed a woman in a car accident. I explained to them that our sins separate us from God. The woman had a hard time admitting that she was a sinner. So, I explained to her about God’s holiness and about Christ’s suffering, so she understood that she was doing very well spiritually. They understood for the first time that they were going to hell. They listened carefully to me as I was telling them how they could be saved. I also shared my personal testimony with them and they accepted the Bible that I gave them.
A woman I witnessed to had an amputated leg. She believed she was a good person because she had helped the poor. She thought she was going to heaven.
I read to them the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector and she understood that she was a sinner and she was going to hell. They listened carefully to me as I shared the Good News.
Through God’s grace, I preached the Gospel to 48 people at this project.
I also preached the Word of God in Providenta Church. I was also involved in discipling two students. I carried on the Bible study with our home group. Praise the Lord!
