Testimony of Conversion

My name is Tith Chanthoan.

Back in 1996, when I was about to enter high school, I told myself that if I failed my 9th-grade national exam, I would become a monk. I really only wanted to make my parents proud, and be able to gain good karma.

I was surprised to pass the exam, and proceeded to continue my studies. Near my school, there was a church that taught English. I met a kind teacher who gave me a class discount, and there were church elders present who shared the Gospel with me.

I was interested in what they had to say, and decided to place my trust in the Lord in 1998. I worked with the youth group, and was active as I studied the Bible.

I graduated from my Bible school, and am a pastor to this day.

Call to Ministry

I was called by God to the ministry, and I couldn’t escape.

I feared the Lord, and I know that he’ll provide for me in every need to serve Him. I believe that I was called due to my spiritual gifts, and I truly love what I do.

Right now, I serve the ministry through Shalom Church as a team leader, and as an evangelist. I will do my best to serve the communities of Khmer and Bu-nong people.
