Testimony of Conversion

My mother was an alcoholic drug addict, and abandoned me when I was a baby. My father wasn’t in the picture, and though his sister took care of me for a short while, I ended up in the home of my mother’s adoptive sister. I suffered from extreme malnourishment, and was close to death.

Although I was baptized as a Mormon, my adoptive family in Laguna was Roman Catholic. My adoptive brother, Ronnie, was converted by some conservative baptist missionaries, and he shared the Gospel with me when I was 8. I was convicted by God’s grace, and realized myself to be a hopeless sinner. Only through Christ by repentance and faith could I be saved, and with that conviction, the Lord rescued me.

When I turned 11, I was baptized in a baptist church.

Years later, I would serve as a deacon for 2 years.

In 2015, I was introduced to reformed theology by my brother’s stepson, and came to embrace it. It prompted me to transfer and serve in a church that held that doctrine.

Hence, I was called to be a missionary at Valley View Baptist Church via Grace Baptist Church of Olongapo City.
