Blessed be the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, who redeemed us from sin, and adopted us to be His forever!I am grateful for all who pray for us, and support our ministry, and I am delighted to share with you some of the highlights of the ministry during the month of May.
I started the month on a trip to Kosovo where we established a new church plant about one year ago. Along with Florin, the nation HeartCry coordinator in Romania, we travelled crossing Bulgaria, and Macedonia to Kosovo. We stopped on the way to pray for each country in the capital cities, and were able to interact a bit with some people. During the time in Kosovo, our goal was to identify a way of doing the ministry, as the coordinator of the team has moved out of the country of Kosovo, and left the ministry to his disciple. This is a young man who is under theological and practical training, and now he faces the reality of leading the ministry by himself. We met with more people in various cities from Kosovo, and attempted to create a network of ministry, so that these men that share the same burden and are theologically on the same page to interconnect, and work together. We also took a trip to Tirana, the capital city of Albania, where we met the leader of the Master’s College, where Xhevat is trained. We inteded to find out how they are working in training new workers, and how we could partner in the future for helping the ministry in this area. We were very glad to meet a man of God who does a wonderful work, and trains tens of men for working in the ministry. We plan to work closely with him on developing the work on Kosovo. The great need is to develop of platform of work, so that the men are well trained and held accountable in their efforts of establishing churches. Please, pray for this great need.
The country of Kosovo is in such a deep need for the Gospel. We went out with the local missionaries, and some of the believers to witness in the central park of Malisheve. We found people that accepted to talk about Christ, although all were Muslims by religion. We found a few radical Mulsims, but most of the young people were open for conversations. I was thankful to see a few young believers that have a heart to testify for the Gospel. Pray for Xhevat and the men we met in the four cities from Kosovo that will team up in working more effectively.
The mext major event of the month was the outreach in the city of Bucharest. We continue our good habit of taking two days in a month to travel in the mission field of one of our HeartCry co-workers, and help with street evangelism. Thus, we meet hundreds of people, as the joint effort of all the Romanian HeartCry missionaries leads to reach out a lot of people, develop new relationships, and help the local missionary to continue to enlarge his area of connections. We have been doing these for over fifteen years, and has been a great took of reaching out the lost.
This month, we had an ordination service in our church in Brasov. J. T. was ordained as a pastor of Providence Church, and I was re-confirmed in the ministry along with him as a minister, taking also the responsibility of a pastor. So, we are now both co-pastors in serving the Providence Church of Brasov, and developing the missionary effort of this local ministry. Please, pray for us to serve well, and be committed to our task.
Don is serving as the HeartCry Coordinator for Eastern Europe. As an itinerant evangelist, his pulpit ministry is directed toward preaching on the inner life of the believer and the spiritual need of the lost. With HeartCry, his ministry includes organizing Bible conferences and corresponding with the HeartCry missionaries in Europe. He and his lovely wife Cindy live in Tuscumbia, AL.
