In the church that I pastor, I am preparing two more men for the pastoral ministry. Two days a week we meet to study together. Also, as a church we are carrying out a study every Thursday evening on the duties of husbands and wives, as well as mothers and fathers.

Several of us have been visiting the homes in our communities that are without Christ, teaching them about their sin against God and their need for repentance. We carry this ministry out on Saturdays so that we can invite them to attend our church meetings the next day. Many of the people that we have spoken with have visited the church, and some of them have repented and believed in Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters, we are worried about the lack of rain this month. Please, pray for rain, since 99 percent of the people in our towns work in agriculture and raising animals. The grass and plants are not growing.

The elders of our church have been going out together to preach in a little town called Alfonso Ugarte. The people there have been listening to our message each time we have gone to preach. Pray for the salvation of these unbelieving people.

One Friday each month we are meeting with all of the pastors of the Baptist association in Pacaipampa to study the theme of biblical pastoral ministry, as we read together though John MacArthur’s book. We are also about to begin our courses for the three-year modular seminary that is going to be taught to the pastors in Pacaipampa.
