The missions work here in Huaylas is advancing little by little in the strength that the Lord gives us. This month we have been going out every Saturday morning to evangelize with the brothers and sisters of the church, visiting the surrounding towns where we are sowing the word of God. I have experienced the rejection of many people because they refuse to give up their idolatrous traditions and drinking parties. But a few have believed and become obedient to the gospel.
In the town of Tumpa, there are now six new believers that are meeting together every Saturday. I am also discipling a family of believers in the town of Carhuaz and in the town of Coba Chica there is a group of eight adults that we meet with on Saturday evenings. On Wednesdays in the town of Yungar we are carrying out discipleship with seven believers. One of the brothers of our church is also leading Bible studies in the city of Huaraz every Tuesday and Sunday, where we are praying about starting a church.
I give thanks to God for the brothers and sisters He has given me to serve in the work here. I ask you to pray for them and that the Lord would send more laborers into this valley, since the work is hard and the field is great. On Sundays in the church here in Huaylas the group of believers continues to meet for worship and edification, and we also meet together for prayer on Thursdays.
Please pray that God would continue to keep us from danger, and that He would protect us during the rainy season.
