Ion and Elena Gireada continue to faithfully serve Christ and His people in the Ukraine. There are a number of villages that Ion regularly visits to preach, baptize and counsel people. The following is a glance into what he is seeing in one of the areas:
I visited this village four times this month and preached three sermons there. I also did a Bible study on how not to fall into temptation. I did the last study with the two candidates for baptism.
We had a baptism on August 16th when three people were baptized, two from Tereblecia and one from Bahranesti. This was a very good evangelistic event. The church building was full. Believers from the surrounding villages joined us and also about 25 non-believers participated in the event. Praise the Lord! I talked to many of these non-believers who asked us to pray for them and their families to repent.
Don is serving as the HeartCry Coordinator for Eastern Europe. As an itinerant evangelist, his pulpit ministry is directed toward preaching on the inner life of the believer and the spiritual need of the lost. With HeartCry, his ministry includes organizing Bible conferences and corresponding with the HeartCry missionaries in Europe. He and his lovely wife Cindy live in Tuscumbia, AL.
