My wife Maqui and I are getting closer and closer to the arrival of our new son. Lord willing, he will be born at the beginning of November. On one hand we are very happy for the fact that God would give us a son, but on the other hand we have a sense of solemnity in light of such a great responsibility. This month we have devoted ourselves almost daily to meditate on the book of Proverbs to learn what things we ought to teach our child that he might be a man who fears God. The list is immense! We are conscious of the fact that only the grace of God can make us capable for such a work. Please, I ask you to pray especially for Maqui’s health, that the pregnancy might run its course without any inconveniences.

With regard to the church, the Lord is continuing to show His favor. Yesterday we had a meeting with those in the church that serve with Nico and me in the discipleship and leadership of the small groups, and we agreed together that over the next weeks we will begin meeting with people that want to be members of the church. The idea is to have one meeting each week, for a month and a half. The purpose of the meetings is to give a course on the basic doctrine of our church to those that want to join the church. These meetings will not replace the personal discipleship that we attempt to carry out with each person that comes to the church, but they will be a complement to them. There are currently around 15 people that are wanting to begin the courses in the coming weeks.

Little by little Family of Grace Church is growing and that fills us with joy, not because we are interested in filling our own chapel, but because we rejoice to see more people treasuring Christ. By the grace of the Lord we are persevering in our prayer meetings and asking that the Spirit of God would visit us and grant us revival. Please, join us in this prayer.
