Two weeks ago, on a Thursday night, it was ten o’clock and I had just laid down in my bed to rest. Just as I was beginning to rest, I received a phone call. It was a man that I had visited many times and preached the gospel to.
This time, he was asking me to come to his house right away. He said he wanted to repent. So, I got on my motorcycle and went to his house.
It made me think of something an older pastor told me one time: “The servant of God must be ready twenty-four hours a day to preach and expound the Scriptures whenever the opportunity presents itself.”
I visited with the man that night and he repented of his sins. This past week, on Friday, he passed away. I went to his funeral yesterday.
