HeartCry missionary Danut Opris is a part of the Hope Church leadership team in Draganesti-Olt, Romania.  He is involved in multiple local church ministries. As a faithful servant of Christ he is a great example of loyalty to the Lord of the Church.  In his recent report he shares of a baptism and his attempt to encourage a lady to believe the gospel.

“Our church has prayed this year for a baptism and the Lord has answered our prayer. Five people were baptized on December 9th, confessing the Lord Jesus as their Savior and Master. They were a teenage boy, a young lady, an adult and two women. Their relatives and acquaintances attended their baptism service as well as other people from our town. The baptism was a great joy for the church and a strong testimony before the unsaved.

I visited a family (husband, wife and their son) and spoke to them about repentance. The lady told us that God had helped her many times in her life and the Lord reminded me of the verse in Romans 2:4: “God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance.” I told her that God’s kindness is a message from Him that she needs to repent. But she kept saying that she suffered a lot,  which meant that she was not that guilty. I also shared my personal testimony with this family. I told them how, back in 1995, the Lord transformed my grief (my father had died) into great joy, by forgiving my sins. I emphasized how the Lord could make this change in their lives.”
