Cambodia Church 2014 1

As Cambodia returns to normal, churches have begun to re-establish their meetings programs. Chhim Nara reminds us that there is nothing better than pure simple fellowship as he tells us, “We were so
joyful when we gathered together. After worship, we divide into groups of men and women, where we review the pastor’s preaching and share what we have learned from the sermon. Also, we have a time of
open sharing and time for praying for each other. These activities are not new in our church, but we thank God so much that we have the opportunity to do it again after not meeting each other for such a long time.”

Pastor Eoun

Praise God, for he has added more believers to our church. Aunt Thorn has a son-in-law who is not a Christian, but she always showed kindness and love to him. She never stopped, although she didn’t see any transformation in him. But this month, he asked if he could come to worship God at church with his wife – she was amazed! They came, and after we worshiped, we had time to talk together, and he told me that he wanted to receive Jesus and follow Jesus. I asked him, “Why do you want to believe in Jesus and follow him?” He said, because he is a sinner, he can’t help himself, and he has
been told Jesus is God and he can save him. He added, “I believe Jesus has the mighty power that can transform my life.” After hearing his answer, I prayed for him, and he was so happy to receive Jesus to be his Lord.

Pastor Pun

Pastor Pun also reports a sister saved for eternity through the prayers and witness of her own children ministered to by the church. Thank God that He has added a new believer to our church. Her name is Phin Phoeun. She is 43 years old. This is her story before she accepted Jesus. Aunt Phin was not living at home with her children when we opened the church because she went to work in Thailand with her husband in 2015. Her mother took care of her three children, and in 2016, when we did open in Toul Khmer, her children came to study with us. In 2019 she missed her children so much that she decided to return. We spent five years teaching her children about Jesus, and all of them accepted Jesus. The children always tried to tell their mother about Jesus. My wife and I sometimes visited her and shared the gospel with her. We invited her to church when we celebrated Christmas. When she came, she always heard the Word, and it seemed the Word always touched her heart. Praise God! This year she came to worship God with us, and she asked me to pray for her – she wanted to accept Jesus. I thank God that He has added this new soul to the church. I am really affected that God answered our prayers for her and her children’s prayers for her. Amen.
