The Republic of Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia and is the largest landlocked country (by land area) in the world. It shares borders with Russia to the north and west; China to the southeast; and Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan to the south. The majority of the Christian population in Kazakhstan has always been European rather than native Kazakh. However, the number of Kazakh believers has grown tremendously since 1990. At that time, there were virtually no Kazakh Christians; but now, it is reported that there are well over 15,000.
Pastor Bakhid has been working diligently with translators and publishers in the country to see the first of Paul Washer’s workbooks come to life in the Kazakh language. In the featured photo, he holds “Knowing the Living God” in his hands, first published in April 2021. He has now begun translation work on the next workbook “Discerning the Plight of Man”. Please join us in prayer that this workbook would be used by God to spread a greater knowledge of who He is to the country of Kazakhstan. Ask the Lord to enable more translation efforts such as this, and use them to build his church and strengthen his people.
