Tonle Sap Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. A church was planted among the fishermen who live on the lake in 2018. HeartCry provided funds for a structure for the believers to meet and worship with one another. Interestingly, barrels buoy the structures on the lake to keep the church building and the fishermen’s houses afloat. 

As the church began to grow and unbelievers were invited and met with the believers, the barrels on the existing building were insufficient to keep the building afloat. Also, many of the barrels were made of metal and had rusted. HeartCry provided the funds to purchase new plastic barrels to prevent the people from sitting in water when they meet to worship. The church members follow the lead of their pastor and are very evangelistic. The church is growing and the building and barrels have proved extremely helpful to the assembly of saints.
