Rogelio Acea serves the Lord in Peru at Eternal Grace Baptist Church Barranco. He recounts the story of his first encounter with HeartCry: “In 1991, after completing my rehabilitation process, I continued serving the Lord as a counselor in this place. Paul Washer, who also supported the work at this center, invited me to be part of the church he pastored. He himself discipled me and prepared to begin the ministry. Then, he invited me to be part of the HeartCry Missionary Society. Already being part of the mission, I have participated in the various conferences, trainings and seminars that they have organized, always seeking to prepare me more for my service to the Lord.” On top of his service in the church, Rogelio now serves in the rehabilitation center by “preaching and counseling the inmates.” Rogelio has been partnering with HeartCry since 1992, and he and his wife, Ruth, have been married since 1994.
