Alaska is the northernmost, westernmost, and largest state by area in the United States of America. It is situated far above the contiguous states and boasts of the coldest climate in the United States. Despite being the most sparsely populated state, Alaska boasts of a great wealth of natural resources; natural gas and oil extraction, along with commercial fishing, dominate the economy. When it comes to religion, Alaska has been known to be one of the least religious states in the United States. A lack of spiritual or religious interest overshadows even the Catholic or Mormon influences that are present. Because of this, there is a great need for faithful gospel preaching and presence in the state of Alaska.
