Millions of tourists visit Costa Rica every year, which generates an extraordinary amount of revenue for a country that is economically stable and holds one of the highest standards of living in Central America. Catholicism is the leading religion, as it is listed as the official state religion according to the country’s constitution. However, freedom of religion is also guaranteed by the constitution, which allows many different religions to grow.
