In 2014, two of the HeartCry staff traveled to the Dominican Republic to meet with the elders of IBSJ Church (Iglesia Biblica de la Gracia Eterna) in the city of Santo Domingo. That visit has turned into an ongoing partnership between HeartCry and IBSJ in an effort to support the work of missions across Latin America.

The Lord has greatly blessed the ministry of IBSJ and has opened up many opportunities for them to serve local churches in Latin American countries. Their teaching ministry reaches thousands of people throughout the region, and their elders make frequent trips to different countries in Latin America to minister to pastors and churches with whom they have an ongoing relationship of encouragement and discipleship. These countries include Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and others.

HeartCry has the opportunity to support the work that the Lord has given to IBSJ by helping to enable them to travel to the many locations they serve, invest in local pastors, train future pastors in their own church, distribute literature, and carry out many other important ministries for the building up of the church.

Pray for the elders of IBSJ as they carry out this important ministry. Pray that they would continue to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified and that they would be greatly used of the Lord for the building up of Christ’s church. Pray also that God would aid and expand the efforts of the local churches in raising up and sending out faithful men for the ministry of the Word to new locations.
