Testimony of Conversion

I was born in 1971. I have only one brother, and he’s one year older than me. He is not a Christian. My parents are still alive, and although they aren’t Christians, they sometimes visit our church and have been exposed to the preaching of the Word of God. We are praying for the salvation of my family members.

I came to know Christ when I was 23 years old through some of my relatives that are Christians. In the providence of God, one day I decided to visit them, and they spoke to me about Christ and invited me to their local church. God began to convince me of sin through His Word and by His Spirit in such a way that my desire for the things of the world perished. I began to visit a Baptist church, and it was there that I was discipled and baptized; the pastor that baptized me has now gone to be with the Lord. Since that time by the grace of God, my desire has been to please Him and glorify Him by doing His will, always trusting and depending on Christ. I know that apart from Him, I can do nothing.

Call to Ministry

In the church, I began to serve the Lord in local missions. At first, I did this only part-time, but eventually, opportunity was opened up for me to be able to devote myself to the work full-time. I used to visit small groups of believers and congregations both in the country and in the mountains. The Lord has used me in the teaching and preaching of His Word both to believers and unbelievers alike. He has used me to begin planting new groups of believers and to establish them as local churches.

By the grace of God and for His glory, I am one of the three leaders of our local church. The Lord has taught me a lot over the past twenty years, and He has instructed me by His Word through the church. I continue preaching the gospel door to door, and I visit all of the brothers and sisters to exhort them. I enjoy the teaching and preaching of the Word, both in the street and in the church.
