Missionary’s Testimony of Conversion

My name is Brad K. My parents are Hindus, and my father was a Hindu priest. I have five brothers and two sisters. Four of the brothers and both the sisters are Christians. We pray that the Lord may open my Father’s and my oldest brothers’ eyes to accept Christ as their savior.

When I was ten years old, I got the opportunity to come to India with my elder brother. He was working at a church as a caretaker. When I first attended the church service, I didn’t understand anything that was going on. My brother sent me to study in a Christian hostel. This hostel was run by a church where we used to have morning and evening devotions. It is there that I heard about Jesus Christ. I also started reading the Word of God in my daily devotions, and as I was doing that, the Lord opened my eyes. God showed me my sins, and I realized my life was sinful. I realized that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus Christ. I understood that only Jesus could forgive my sins. I repented of my sins, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I was baptized in June of 2009.

In 2009, I got an opportunity further my studies. I got good biblical teaching, and I also got to attend various short-term pieces of training. This helped me to grow spiritually, and God gave me a desire to serve as a pastor. I got the opportunity to help in the church ministry, such as teaching in Sunday School, leading in the church, occasional preaching, teaching at youth camps, etc.

In 2017, I got an opportunity to pursue M.Div studies. It helped me to grow in my Biblical understanding. I have seen the grace of God abundantly in my life. In 2019, I got married by the Grace of God. My spouse is a great blessing from the Lord. We are growing together in our marriage and our spiritual life. Because I was part of a healthy church, it helped me to grow spiritually every day in my Christian life.

Testimony of Call to Ministry

God wonderfully worked in my life from when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. The Bible teaches us that life in this world is concise and we live in a heavenly place; till that time, we have to do the work of an Evangelist.

I remember that when I was working in the accounts department, and at the same time, I got many opportunities to attend many seminars and training. These things helped me to understand the Bible better. During my working time, I met many pastors who were very weak because of a lack of education and the correct doctrine in applying and teaching the Bible. God showed me the need for pastors and teachers. One day I was talking with my pastor he explained that anyone could work in the office, but only Christians can share the gospel. If we don’t preach Christ, then who will preach? Through this talk, I was forced to think about preaching the gospel.

After some years, I have been through two significant accidents where I was close to death. God showed mercy on me at that time. I committed my life to the Gospel. Because I realized that life is concise, we can die any day, and we will stand before God. So, God has given me another chance to glorify him and share the gospel.

After all these things, it helped me to resign from my work as an accountant and commit my life to preaching the Gospel. Helping other brothers, investing in the life of young men from that time I am in ministry. I prayed a lot about doing the ministry. God answer my prayer and gave me the desire to preach the Gospel. I enjoy doing ministry a lot. I pray that God may give me the strength to preach the Gospel that gives salvation and invest in the life of many.

As we read in the bible, that encourages me. 1 Corinthians 1:23, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles. Acts 20:27, for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. About these things, I pray that God may give me the boldness to preach Christ. Through all these things, I started my journey of ministry.
