Testimony of Conversion

I heard the Gospel for the first time many years ago through a person close to me. He told me that there was only one God and that this God had created the entire world. He created us, humans, for His glory. Unfortunately, man sinned by disobeying God’s command, and since then, the wrath of God has remained on us, so apart from Him, we will perish for eternity after we die.

There was hope! God is just, but He is also merciful. In that mercy, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from the wrath of God. This was done to satiate God’s rage against sin on our behalf. Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross to save us from our sins.

When I heard all of these things, by the mercy of the Lord, I was hit with the realization that I was a sinner. I needed Christ! God worked in my heart and helped me accept Jesus as my Savior. I proclaimed my faith before the church many years ago in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through my baptism.

During this time, I developed a desire for further Gospel study and wanted to receive formal training. I started attending another church and witnessed the teaching that occurred. From that time on, my curiosity was awakened: I wanted to become a faithful Bible teacher.

Sooner rather than later, God granted my wish. I began formal training, and learned many practical skills for the church’s benefit.

I’ve made plans to go out with people from my church to plant a healthy church.

Call to Ministry

I remember the first time I saw truly biblical teaching. The whole church worked hard to live a life based on the Word of God. They taught the Word of God and tried to conduct themselves in a manner that reflected the Scriptures.

From then, a desire grew to see similar churches planted in other places; churches that relied on sound teaching and doctrine rather than anything that came from man.

Since then, the Holy Spirit in me has grown the desire. I hope, by God’s grace, to plant a healthy church with some friends.

I just want to see Bible-based churches everywhere. God’s chosen people deserve that much, at least.
