Shayne Poirier is a church planter at Grace Fellowship Church in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In planting this church, his “aim has been to plant a biblically faithful local church that is reformed and baptistic in its distinctives.” He received his ministerial training from Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary, The Master’s Seminary Institute for Church Leadership, and the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Prior to planting Grace Fellowship, Shayne was involved in college campus ministry and youth ministry. His current duties include prayer, discipleship, and leadership development. He also has a heart for evangelism, regularly encouraging people in his congregation to witness, instructing them on how to engage in gospel conversations, and coordinating evangelism outings. Shayne and his wife, Nicole, have been married since 2007, and they have two children. He has been a partner with HeartCry since 2025.
