Malawi

Maya Kuthyola is the pastor of Unity Bible Church in Malawi. He received his ministerial training through a “faithful, Bible-preaching church,” through a MDiv he finished in 2018, and through a DMin from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Maya describes his ministry as “humbling,” as he explains what God has done in his heart and in the church: “I have learned in these few years of planting to rely on God and His Word more than ever. The simple means of grace like preaching the Word and praying together have deepened our fellowship. It has also been challenging to shepherd the straying sheep, but we are also encouraged to see the Word transform lives of people we have been ministering to.” Maya has been partnering with HeartCry since 2020, and he and his wife, Chikondi, have been married since 2018.
