Joel is the pastor of Agape International Baptist Church in Jakobstad, Finland. He received his ministerial training under the pastoral leadership of HeartCry Missionary Kyle McCartan. Joel grew up believing he was a Christian because of his infant baptism. He came to realize the hypocrisy of this, as he explains his testimony of true salvation: “The depravity of man and total sufficiency of Christ literally threw my worldview upside down, forcing me to realize that Jesus is not just a good friend and a helper to get you through life, He is the only one through whom I can have eternal life. He is Savior and Lord.” At Agape International Baptist Church, Joel felt the call to ministry, which was confirmed for him when the need for new leadership arose in the church. Joel has been able to recognize and grow in his spiritual gifts of preaching, teaching, and leading over the last several years. He is married to Susanna, and he has partnered with HeartCry since 2024.
