Ion Gireada is a church planter who helps to coordinate in-country for the missionaries that work among the Romanian-speaking population from Ukraine. He received his ministerial training through six months of missions school in Romania, as well as through his time at the Baptist Theological Seminary in Bucharest. He directs the church planting ministry in Cernauti County and the Transcarpatia and Odessa region. As a gifted preacher and teacher, Ion has had a great influence among the Romanian pastors and missionaries from Ukraine. He pastors two churches in Tereblecea, and Bahrinesti, coordinates conferences, and trains disciples. Ion is the President of Nehemiah Missionary Society and one of the teachers in the Theological College in Cernauti. He is married to his wife, Lena, and he has been partnering with HeartCry since 1999.
