Erick Shumba is the pastor of Karimeli Reformed Baptist Church in Zambia. Erick was saved out of a troubled household with an father who was “a terrible drunkard.” In 1999, Erick attended a church meeting “where the pastor preached from the famous verse of John 3:16.” Erick recalls: “My heart was troubled; I needed to hear more. I followed the preacher, and sought clarification. He helped me, and I repented of my sins; accepting Jesus as my personal Master.” Erick received his ministerial training through three years of Bible college, and now serves as the pastor of a reformed Baptist congregation. He has been partnering with HeartCry since 2022. Erick and his wife, Elizabeth, live together in Zambia as they serve together in the church.
