Akani Hlungwane is a church planter located in Gauteng, South Africa. He received his ministerial training through a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Master’s University. Since 2010, Akani has been involved in ministry in various roles, such as in administration, outreach, children’s ministry, short-term ministry trips, and as an elder at Living Hope Church. Akani is now focused on being sent out “to establish a Tsonga Bible-teaching church in Bungeni village.” His goal is “to spread a passion for the glory of God, through discipleship, training leaders, and planting churches amongst the Tsonga people of the Limpopo province of South Africa.” Akani is married to his wife, Lerato Hlungwane, and he has partnered with HeartCry since 2024.
