I recently had the opportunity to visit some brothers in Juliaca. They contacted me about a month ago. The young man who is leading this group is named Randy. He is a single man who is twenty four years old. He used to be part of a Charismatic congregation, but four years ago he traveled to Colombia on a trip for work. While he was there, he heard the gospel of grace. Even though he was not there long, once he returned to Juliaca, he continued listening to sermons on the internet by Paul Washer and the brothers at the Iglesia Bautista Internacional in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Randy would like to keep learning more of the Scriptures and even to study in seminary. His desire is to be a pastor and he is searching for someone to teach him and to help him. He also needs help to preach to the group of about twenty people who are meeting at the home of his parents, where he lives. Randy’s mother is attending this group, but his father is a drunk and, on the night we visited them, he interrupted our meeting. Please pray for this group of brothers who need someone to lead them and to teach them the Scriptures. Pray also that the Lord would provide them an adequate place to meet together.

I was also recently able to visit a group of brothers in Tacna who are being led by a brother named Abraham Cutipa. This group is wanting to start a Baptist Church in Tacna and, by the grace of God, they are growing and being strengthened in the Lord. They are receiving spiritual help from our brother John Brown, who is a missionary living in Tacna. Although John and his wife are elderly, they are very excited about the opportunity to help plant this new church. I ask you to pray for this new church, which we will visit on December 8. During this service we will participate in the ordination of brother Abraham as an elder for the church.
