Copperbelt Ministerial College is one of the excellent pastor-training institutions in Zambia that HeartCry helps support. All of the instructors and students are actively involved in ministry. Three of our missionary pastors are currently attending CMC. One of those pastors is Sangwani Mtika (far left), serving in Eastern Province, Zambia. Through your generosity, we were able to help him with tuition to further his training. He wrote to express his gratitude:
“I would like to acknowledge the tuition help from HeartCry towards my studies at Copperbelt Ministerial College and convey my sincere gratitude to the HeartCry donors for their financial and prayer support. It is another burden off our shoulders. While we may say that HeartCry is supporting me as an individual, there are many others that are indirectly being helped. The knowledge that your financial support is enabling me to acquire is not only benefiting me but also Magazine Baptist Church and Chipata Calvary Baptist Church as well.
It is interesting to note that, in each module I have attended so far, there has been something covered that directly addressed what I was doing or planned to do at Magazine. For example, a few months back we had looked at the topic of evangelism as a church. After that, we started doing door-to-door evangelism as a church. Amongst the members, there were also some young men that made their own personal evangelism program which, after some challenges, they discontinued. I helped them with the challenges and encouraged them to continue.
Through a Discipleship and Spiritual Formation class at CMC, I was challenged to encourage them by getting involved in their personal program, accompanying them whenever I can as they go to evangelize. When I came back from the course, I met with them and told them to let me know when they go for evangelism so that I may join them. In the next module, one of the courses has to do with sermon preparation, which will be very useful in training two young men in the church. May our gracious God continue to bless and guide the staff and donors of HeartCry.”
