Dear brothers and sisters,

Praise the Lord for the privilege of serving in His temple. In the Old Testament God’s people were encouraged to serve, edify, and rebuild the temple of God. Now the New Testament tells us that we are the temple of God called to grow in service and holiness (Ephesians 2:21). Praise the Lord for the prophet Haggai who was sent to remind God’s people and us that we should not live caring only for our houses, that brings just frustration in all our ways (Haggai 1:3-9). We are all called to be joyful worshiping in service, edifying, and working in God’s temple most importantly with a heart that seeks holiness. Let’s praise God because the goal is not service in itself, because God cannot be served by human hands and the Son of Man didn’t came to be served. Through our service we can grow in holiness seeing Him serving us supplying what we need in our way to become like our precious Savior Jesus Christ.

We are thankful to the Lord for the next step we are making in our monthly homeless ministry. Culturally we have crossed the barrier and now we are praying and planning to give letters to the homeless so we can continue gaining their trust and be ready to share the Gospel. Please pray that our Lord will open their hearts and that they will come to repentance and faith.

We also are rejoicing in the Lord for the gift of salvation. Two young men in our church are on their way to be baptized. They just surrendered their lives to God and are growing in service, studying God’s Word, and sharing the Gospel with their coworkers. Please pray for these two young men in the new and eternal life that our Lord has given.

Please keep praying praising God for the many opportunities He is giving us to share His precious gospel because the understanding of the Gospel, faith, and repentance doesn’t come from our ability to wow with our language but through the powerful and miraculous power of the truth of God. Please keep praying that we will continue working on our Japanese language skills, and share the Gospel in many languages, but ultimately to rejoice, rest, and have hope in the power of His message.

Blessings, Luis (Tokyo)
