Gospel to the Nations

“Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel” .

1 Corinthians 9:16

Dear brothers and sisters, It is a great blessing to share with you the work of the Lord in Nepal. During December, we made a trip to Dolakha in northern Nepal. Dolakha is known to be the place where the earthquake was extremely devastating in 2015. Most of the houses we visited were destroyed and we saw that the people were in need of shelter. We, therefore, brought a small relief program for the poor and the Christian people in this place. Besides the small relief work of relieving the poor, our motives were to proclaim the truth of the gospel. We had the privilege to meet and have fellowship with a small group from a new local church who gathered in a small place. This church is very young church; a baby church who had a hunger for the truth of the gospel. It was our joy to worship the Lord with the small flock and share the truth of the gospel. Brother Rodney P. shared the word of God from Luke 2:8-20; the Good News of our Lord Jesus who was born in order to die for the sins of His people. It was very encouraging for us to meet the common people who have a desire to seek God in this location.

We also had the opportunity to distribute the sound gospel tract “Everlasting and Perfect Sacrifice” to the people. It is our sincere prayer that the Lord will build His church in this part of the world. We also took the opportunity to make the gospel known during the Christmas season. Beginning December 1, we proclaimed the birth of the Savior, the King and the Lord, who died for the sins of His people. We went from house to house and also practiced street evangelism by distributing gospel tracts. We have found many people in the Butwal City area who have never heard the name of Jesus Christ. It is so exciting and joyful to proclaim our Savior. We don’t know who will believe but we do know someone will believe in Him. It is our sincere prayer that the Lord of Hosts will cause someone to be born again because “He is mighty to save” (Isaiah 63:1).

It is our great privilege to make gospel known to every tribe, tongue, and nation. May the Lord gather “all nations and tongues to see His glory” (Isaiah 66:18).

Dear brothers and sisters, thank you again for your ministry of prayer and support and laboring together with us for His kingdom’s expansion. Glory to our God alone!

In Him, Silas
