“And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, One SHEPHERD…”

John 10:16

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the most precious holy name of Jesus Christ. We appreciate your partnership with us through prayers and other various ways.

I wanted to briefly share with you about how the Lord has been gracious to us in allowing us to reach a woman with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her name is Chandra D. She was born in, and brought up in a Brahmin community. The Brahmin people are a prominent people who are spread across the whole of India. They are the highest of the four Hindu castes, made up of priests and scholars of the Vedic literature. Their traditional occupation is to concern themselves with the spiritual guidance of the people, conduct rites at marriages, births, deaths, and other auspicious occasions.

In order to understand the significance of this, one must recognize the role that this community has played, and is still is active in to this day. They are one of the more prominent groups that have persecuted the body of Christ since the beginning of the Church in India. I am sharing this so that you may pray that God would open their eyes to see the glorious Christ who shed His blood.

I sat with Chandra for many days and hours sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with her. We would pray together as well. Praise the Lord that the Spirit of God convicted her of her sins, and she has placed her faith in Christ. She began requesting me to baptize her, but I took some time to see if her life evidenced a change. We as a Church prayed for her during this time. Once it became evident, I baptized her. She comes out of a rough past. She was addicted to drugs and other things, but now God set her free, transforming her life. Now, she is new creation in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17, “the old has passed away, behold the new has come.”

Please pray for her so that she may stand firm in Christ and continue to walk with Him, love Him, and be a witness in her community. Pray for us also as we are toiling day and night to reach people with the Gospel, and teaching them to follow Our Master.

Your co-laborers in Christ,

Sunder
