I  went to Ploiesti for an evangelistic event, but we didn’t receive approval to use a room in the university building. The students even had problems with the police when they went caroling in the campus. They were threatened and asked for approval from the university staff.

The Lord provided a room for us for the evangelistic event through a young man who hadn’t worked for God as a student. He felt bad for not having shared the Gospel with his colleagues when he was a student. Over 60 students attended our evangelistic event and some of them were non-believers. About five of them decided to repent. I talked to one young man, who is a freshman. When the Christian students went caroling, he followed them everywhere. He was surprised to hear that he was a killer in God’s sight. He believed he was going to hell, but he didn’t try to do anything to change it. I told him about Christ who died in our place and that he could only be forgiven through faith in Him. Still, he refused to take a New Testament, saying that he wouldn’t read it.  I believe he used to be involved with dirty things such as satanic music and drugs.

I also went to Sibiu with two other missionaries. We met two people who were involved in fundraising for needy children. We talked to these guys and four girls about their worldview. We were interrupted by other students, but one guy and some of the girls asked us to keep telling them what we had to say. Most of them believed in God and in Jesus Christ, but they were surprised to hear how God saw them. They didn’t know they were going to hell or how they could escape hell. They listened to me carefully as I was sharing with them what Jesus Christ had done for us. As I was talking to them, a young man was watching us and I could feel a demonic influence. Then I approached another group of students and that young man was among them. He said he was an Orthodox Christian and what we did was really stupid. I wanted to introduce myself to him, but he refused to shake hands with me. I could feel his hatred in his voice. He was very arrogant and asked me if I had an approval for what I did. I was disgusted by his false and hypocritical Christianity. I am so glad that Christ saved me from that false Christianity and brought me to life. I had never met such an arrogant person in Sibiu before.

One of my colleagues met a student who hated the evangelical Christians and who refused to listen to the Gospel message. Still, there were other two students who were touched by the Word of God. One of them said that what we had told him was something new to him.

Several non-believers attended our evangelistic meeting that night and two of them were Muslims from Syria and Iraq. I was glad to preach Christ to them.

I met Cristi and I shared the Gospel with him relating my personal testimony.  He believed he was not such a bad person, but he didn’t read the Bible and didn’t know where he was going after death. I explained to him that Christ died for our sins and what it meant to believe in Him. May the Lord have mercy on Cristi!

Marian is 23 and he is a mechanic. Just when he was going to work, I asked him if he had ever wondered how God saw him. He was taken by surprise by my question and needed some time to think about it. Then I told him what the Bible said about sin and he was amazed to hear all those things. He knew he was going to hell and was eager to hear how he could escape it. All these things were new to him and he thanked me for having shared them with him.

Mr. Ioan (around 60) was selling melons in the market. I shared the Gospel with him and he realized he had sinned a lot and was going to hell. He wanted to hear about salvation and accepted the New Testament and the Gospel tracts that I offered him. He was very open to the Gospel message and listened to my personal testimony very carefully.

Nelu used to attend a Pentecostal church in the past. He believed that God had a good opinion about him, but he didn’t know he could kill people with his mind. He said he had never hated anyone and believed he was a good person. I praise the Lord for giving this man the opportunity to understand that he was going to hell. I explained to him what Christ had done for us and he was astonished by what he heard. God proved him guilty and he understood that.

As Alex was filling my tank with fuel, I shared the Gospel with him. I read to him from the Bible the verses that speak about sin and he understood for the first time that he was going to hell. It was such a blessing to tell him about Lord Jesus and His sacrifice. I urged him to read his Bible and he thanked me for sharing all those things with him.

Nelu is a drive and he believed that God had a good opinion about him, because he had done good to others. He was amazed to realize that he had killed people and cheated on his wife in his mind. He said that the priests had never told him anything like that. He wanted to hear how he could be forgiven and admitted he had never felt forgiven by confessing his sins to the priest. He decided to read the Bible.

Decu (60) lives in Sanpetru. He told me how two young people had died in a car accident a few hours before. One of them was supposed to get married in a few days. He was in a shock, but he was even more surprised to understand that he was a killer, an adulterer and that he was going to hell. I told him what Jesus Christ had done for us and shared my personal testimony with him, telling him how Christ changed me and my wife, thus saving our marriage. In the end, he told me he believed in God and he had many icons in his house; in other words, he was content with his self-righteousness.

Marius believed that God had a good opinion about him, but he didn’t know where he was going after death. I shared the Gospel with him, but it was very difficult for him to admit that he had to pay for his sins in hell. He wanted to hear how he could be saved and listened to me very carefully. I encouraged him to read his Bible. When I met him again, I asked him how many children he had and he replied that I had told him about God before and that he was a believer in his own way.
