Dear Brothers and sisters,

Greetings in His name. We thank the Lord for keeping us both spiritually and also physically. We as a church are making progress although there are challenges to face in our journey. God is working in the lives of those who are coming to the church. Every foot that runs toward the church to listen to the words of the Redeemer is a miracle in and of itself. We are serving the Lord in a place where the gospel is hijacked by the Prosperity Gospel. We do not have anything that attracts the crowds apart from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When Pastor Mark Dever says “what you win them with is likely what you’ll win them to,” he is absolutely right. All that we have is Jesus Christ. What we have is what we offer to the people who come to us (Acts 3:6). We truly believe that preaching the Gospel has the power to resurrect the souls which are otherwise dead (Eph 2:1).

On Sunday mornings, we have been studying the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. I personally have been moved to the core as I have been studying about these churches. I am petrified at the judgement of Jesus Christ, and yet, at the same time melted by His Grace when He calls sinners (even the most horrible sinners) to repentance (Rev 2:16, 21,23; 3;3,16, 20). Please pray that the members of the church may be challenged to be more faithful in their witness for Christ and that they may not become lukewarm or ineffective.

On Wednesday evenings, we have been gathering over the Word to study 1 Tim 3:1-13, with a view to identifying potential leaders in the church. Please pray that the Lord may raise up committed deacons. After the Bible study, we pray as a church. The attendance has slightly been improved. Thank you so much for your prayers. Brother Duke is helping me from time to time in preaching, and sharing the gospel in the streets on Saturday evenings. Please pray for him as he is considering a call for the future ministry. He has a deep desire to exegete the Scriptures. Would you please pray as we are considering various options for him to get the necessary training to be a faithful minister of the Word of God?

In the last week of May, we had Vacation Bible School for the children. My wife told the kids stories, and more importantly, she shared the gospel with them. Please pray that many of these children may be born-again to serve the Lord.

Please pray for Naik. He is a born-again believer, but hasn’t been baptized yet. His parents are not interested in Christianity. Please pray that the Lord may overrule all the opposition and that the Lord would be glorified in the end. If you remember, we had a simular situation Brother Dil. We praise the Lord that the Lord worked in this situation and answered your prayers. So please pray for Naik’s baptism as well.

Would you please pray for a young man by the name Nishanth? He has recently lost his dad. He was shocked to hear the truth that once someone crosses this life, there is no opportunity to be saved from the eternal wrath of God. I have shared the gospel with him many times, and he has come to church many times. But his heart isn’t opened yet. Please pray he may come to know Jesus Christ as his saviour.

We are all doing well at the moment as a family. Please pray for my family. My son Shane is going into the 4th grade, whereas my daughter Shireen will be in 1st grade. My wife and I recently celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. God has been extremely kind to us in our life’s journey as a couple. He has truly been our Ebenezer so far and we look to the same Ebenezer even in the days to come until we pass into eternity in a twinkling of a eye (Heb 12:2).

Thank you and peace be to you all.

In His Grace,

Sandeep K.
