The month of March was packed with events, and we’re thankful to look back and see the ways that the Lord helped us and gave us strength. The ministry opportunities continue this month, and we ask that you please pray for us.

Shepherds’ Conference

Ruben traveled to Los Angeles with a group of Spaniards during the first week of March to attend the 2016 Shepherds’ Conference held by Grace Community Church. Thank you for praying for their travels and their time at the conference. It was the first time that some of the men attended, and they were very thankful for the privilege of having been part of such an event. Many were encouraged by the sermons and by the service and hospitality of the volunteers at the church and their host homes. Praise the Lord! Please pray that they would have the wisdom to apply what they’ve learned to their personal lives and their churches. Thank you also for praying for Ruben as he translated for one of the main sessions.

Berea Classes

As soon as Ruben arrived in Leon after the conference, he diligently continued to study for the upcoming weekend of classes of the Berea Seminary. Ruben taught the Hermeneutics 3 classes. Thank you for praying for that weekend, especially for the professors and a couple of students as they only had a few days or less to adjust to the time change before they had to start teaching.
Marriage Conference in the South

Two days after the Berea Seminary weekend, we traveled as a family to La Carolina, which is 6 hours south of Leon. Ruben was asked to teach at a marriage retreat that the Evangelical Church of La Carolina had planned at a beautiful place near their church called El Centenillo. We were there from March 23rd through the 27th, and Ruben taught on the importance of treating your spouse as a brother or sister in Christ and that the “one anothers” need to be practiced primarily in the home before doing so in the church. It was a joy to be with like-minded believers who desire to glorify the Lord in every area of their lives. A few of the men are students of the Berea Seminary and it is amazing to hear of the changes that the Lord has made in their own families as a result of their personal study of the Word! A few of the leaders shared that they were thankful for the reminder to treat their wives as sisters-in-Christ if they want to be godly examples to their congregations. Thank you very much for praying for us!

Berea Conference

This weekend we will be having a Berea Conference with Michael Mahoney, one of the pastors from Grace Community Church. He will be teaching on the Psalms and the Glory of God, and we are greatly looking forward to diving into this great book of the Bible. Pray for Pastor Michael so that he would adapt quickly to the time change and for strength as he teaches 10 times in a just a few days. We are so glad that he is here with us!!!

Trip to Barcelona

Ruben will be doing a quick trip to Barcelona from April 23rd to the 24th. He has been asked to teach a few times at Pinar del Rio Church. Please pray for his trip, which will be by plane this time, and that he would be a blessing to the church there both through his teaching and his conversations with others.

We are grateful for your support. Your love for our family is overwhelming and we are so thankful for your kindness to us even though we are so far away from most of you. May the Lord bless you greatly as you seek to grow in the knowledge of Christ.

In Him,

Ruben, Jenn, Oliver, Eden and Baby Videira #3
