For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel (Zech 4:10).

Dear brothers & sisters,

Rejoice with us in how God is creating a hunger for His Word throughout Sweden. The prophet Zechariah was sent to encourage the people to keep building the temple. In some people’s eyes, it was like nothing, and we might be tempted to think the same in the building of the Lord’s new covenant temple, Christ’s body, his church. I have to confess that at times I have struggled, when we started with this church plant; in its early days in seeing a lack of fruit, both in people’s lives and people coming to faith. Even so, things were happening. In hindsight, I’m so thankful to see God’s faithfulness over the years, and how he has been at work in many lives of many people. At the same time this has been a very busy time. It has also been a time of great blessing. More people are coming to the church and it’s exciting to see how people are growing. In our Bible study, we are starting to the training bear fruit. A few different people have been tested to see how they would lead a Bible study. It’s a great joy to see how His people are maturing and taking these new steps with the Lord.

At the beginning of November, we gathered three different groups from three different cities for a small conference. Friday night was designed for some of the key people to bond and get to know one another. The next day, we gathered 30+ people together to listen to God’s Word preached. Brother Chris and I preached through Luke 15. We also had two workshops in order to train the people on how to do one-to-one Bible reading with others. It’s a small beginning, but we rejoice in the great hunger and response to the Word of God among the participants. Pray with us- that churches would be established in each of those cities, and for God to raise up mature leaders. Also pray for the discipleship and training that is being done with the key people from each of those cities.

As for our nonprofit book publishing work, this week we will publish four volumes of material to help children explore the books of Genesis, Exodus, Matthew, and Acts, as well as four-volumes of corresponding material to help families to have family worship. Pray that these resources would be wide spread, and that God would use them to lead many children and family members to faith in Christ.

Right now, we are going through 2 Samuel as a family in our family worship. Tonight, we were reading about how David was trying to hide his sin, by killing Uriah. The lesson being, that we can not hide our sins from God. May we as adults remind our hearts of this same truth. We can never hide our sin from the Lord. It will find us out (Num. 32:23). Therefore, may we always confess our sins and pray that God will preserve us all from sin.

Please pray for us that we would remain faithful. As Paul wrote at the in the end of our life, may we also be able to say: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing” (2 Tim 4:7-8).

Thank you for partnering with us!
