March Report from Elis Pramono (Elis is a missionary in an undisclosed location in Asia)

By His grace and mercy, I could experience God’s abundant guidance this month. On March 18th, 2016, I’ve been invited to one of my student’s birthday party. It’s a Moslem birthday party in my village and there were three respectful teachers of the Koran who attended the party as well. Surprisingly, I recieved the privilege from the birthday boy who asked me to pray for him in front of all the students and the teachers of Koran. I was confused of what I should do but God reminded me about sin. Sin is when we fail to do the command of Christ. Then I did pray in front of everyone even though I felt slightly terrified but God gave me peace and joy beyond measure after I finished it, I realized that due to current peacefulness, especially after all the commotions of death of Sari (Sari Saat was a HeartCry missionary and co-laborer of Elis that died in 2015) I could be expelled again from my village because of their anger of what just happened (practicing my Christian belief to pray in public) but it didn’t really occur.

The Word of God came to my mind as I reflected more on all His goodness and His sovereign grace over this course of difficult times: “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love HIM” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Hallelujah, I greatly praise the Lord Jesus Christ who is constantly living in our lives forever. My prayer requests are as follows: to be able to see the spiritual growth for the members of our fellowship, for the Lord to regenerate the hearts of those who have heard the message of the Gospel truth, and for the Lord to bestow His saving grace both to Sari’s and my family.
