Brothers and Sisters,
I am writing to ask for your support in prayer during my upcoming trip to the Middle East from July 23rd to August 4th. Dr. Andrew and I will be visiting several churches in the Middle East.

Beginning on July 25th, there will be a two-day conference for HeartCry missionaries and partners in Dr. Andrew’s country. He will be preaching on “the Doctrine of God” and teaching the pastors how to study and teach through Bro. Paul Washer’s workbook, The One True God, which was translated into Arabic and printed last month (read more here). During this trip, I will be meeting and spending time with all of the HeartCry missionaries in this country, as well as fellowshipping with the church on Sunday. Please pray that God would grant sweet fellowship and cultivate strong, Christ-centered relationships.

On July 28th, Dr. Andrew and I will travel to Egypt, where we will spend a week visiting two different churches. The first is House of Grace, a church which began several years ago as Bible study for a number of young, hungry Christians. After the pastor died in a tragic car accident about a year and half ago, HeartCry has sought to partner with and support this small church and its young leadership. Please pray for this church and its leaders – that the Lord would sustain them and draw them near through their many trials and persecution and use them to bring countless lost Muslims to Christ. Pray that God would continue to make clear how HeartCry can most effectively help this church and others throughout the Middle East.

The second visit in Egypt will be with Pastor Samuel D.’s church in a large, predominantly Muslim city. We will be spending time getting to know Bro. Samuel, his family, and his church as well as attending one of their church services on August 1st. Pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen Brother Samuel and his church for the winning and training of more men and women of God. Egypt’s great need is for more godly, Sprit-filled laborers!

Brothers and sisters, please set aside time to intercede for these churches as well as the rest of God’s children scattered throughout the Middle East. They are desperate for God’s presence and help as they live among a people who misunderstand them and despise their Gospel. We have direct access through Christ to the only One who can help. Let us be diligent as those who will give an account!

Your brother,
Josh
